As the GoGreen project reaches its conclusion, ASPEA, in collaboration with the Torres Vedras municipality, extends an invitation to all project partners and the general public to attend the GoGreen Final International Conference: Local Action for the European Green Deal, Empowering political decision-makers and technicians in municipalities. The event will be held in Torres Vedras, Portugal, in a bilingual (English and Portuguese) and hybrid (online and on-site) format.

 

In addition to drawing upon the project's outputs  to stimulate discussions on the stage, this cross-border event will also address the practical challenges posed by the EU Green Deal. In this regard, GoGreen's partners have identified key areas for focus, including the adaptation of an international pact to the local level, the design of intersectoral and transversal local policies, the financing of the green transition, and the development of replicable tools.

 

As such, the conference will address the challenges and opportunities in training municipal decision-makers, present the results of the project, showcase local projects from the UNESCO West Geopark, and announce the results of the GoGreen best practices competition. Participants will also have the opportunity to network during the social dining event and attend artistic performances throughout the day.
